5968A vs 5167R with Tiffany Stamp

Good evening gentlemen,

I'm currently deciding between a 5968A steel chronograph Aquanaut and a 5167R with Tiffany stamp. I currently own the 5167R with tiffany stamp already and I'm considering trading it with a dealer for the 5968A (no t stamp, just fyi).

Tough call, both great references but I think I prefer the 5167R due to its smaller case size.

The Tiffany stamp would mean nothing to me.

The 5968A is the one Aquanaut I ever wanted but my AD got discontinued in the process. Best sports chrono I can think of for my preferences. If you can handle the size (it was borderline for me) I'd certainly do it as I am not a fan of 5167R (not into brown watches and prefer steel). Wouldn't miss the T stamp either. While I get the appeal especially for US collectors it doesn't help the aesthetics in my eyes, rarity be damned... LOL

If I have to pay for it, or attribute any value to it (short of a healthy imbedded profit on it), the Tiffany stamp would be a negative for me. I'd just get whichever watch I want the most, independent of the stamp.

You look to be real rich from your watch collection....

I wouldn't want to piss my Tiffany boutique by doing the trade....

The right answer is adding the 5968a

BTW regardless the trade, which one I like best..... I pick 67 T-stamp because it more special than 5968...

Good luck with your choice...

cheers,

Rich is relative, there's always someone out there with way more so I don't consider myself rich. In the words of Kevin O' Leary, collecting watches is more of a disease lol.

But to your point yes you are right, better to just add the 5968A rather than trade for it. Good advice and I appreciate it!

5968a or g are the only Nautilus I’d consider owning. I’d do that trade in a heartbeat.
