5712/1A total production since 2006

At the risk of boring you all to Tears, can anyone give an educated guess at a figure. I’ve searched and cannot find a reasoned calculation. Since 2006, obviously production has varied & probably peaked from 2014-2024. If steel is 25% of 60k per year currently. With 5711/5167 etc in that mix & any ladies steel, would we be looking at around 3000 per year. Could there be as few as 60,000 in existence so far worldwide. ??? This is a rabbit hole for me, that I can’t dig myself out of with some extremely help here.

Probably around 15-20k pieces. If it’s relative scarcity you’re after, 3712/1a is the piece you’re looking for. Around 1500 of those or fewer ever made.

An early 2006 Geneva seal one dot at 48 power reserve 2006 piece would also be quite scarce.

For owners, is it a hold or a sell?

I had to think of this 5712/1A thread which fittingly ends with a post of yours at the peak of the hype.

My two cents... If you don't enjoy it I'd probably still sell regardless of the massive correction. There may well be continued pressure southward for quite some time. I also don't expect a lasting bounce if it does finally get discontinued, not worth waiting in a very soft market IMO. Personally I'd just continue to enjoy it. It remains the same nice watch after all.

Im on a hunt for one tbh regardless of the market but let me tell you .

In one week i found reduction of 8k usd in the price of every model . If it kept going like this by the week in two months ill be reaching my target price

Fair calculation. I guess they are quite a rare breed

Honestly, my curiosity here isn’t price related. I hope to have one by end of this year, and simply wonder how small of an owners club it is.

I'm really not sure what to do. I still like the watch, but OTOH, I am shooting for a grail which i can't afford!
