BLRO color changes throughout the day!

This watch really is a Chameleon. Sometimes the blue is navy blue, sometimes it’s borderline black, sometimes it’s almost purple lol… I know it’s not for everyone, but I love it. Here’s a shot from today!

That's the magic of the BLRO! The color changes are part of what makes it so unique and fun to wear. Enjoy those beautiful shifts throughout the day. Thanks for sharing!

Same here. Sometimes my BLRO transitions into a Coke.

always felt it came across slightly purple more than blue in pics - is that the case?

Very bold statement, , not saying I disagree with you - well I am actually, I feel there’s plenty watches better than the Pepsi, but it certainly has the love of many on here .. and correct, it is a great looking watch especially on jubilee ..

I just got my Pepsi today! I find the difference between the blue on it and the Batman to be shocking. The Batman blue is a much more vibrant and visibly appealing blue, the Pepsi is very purple and only really appears blue in the most direct sunlight (even more purple than in photographs). I looked at it in the Rolex store, but of course under their extra bright lights, it appears much more blue.

The red however is really nice. But I see the vibrancy of the Batman to be more attractive even on cloudy days.

Couldn’t agree more Steve, it’s a fun one to own and a pleasure to wear

Here are a few of my colours (2018 model year)

This is one thing I really did not expect with my BLNR the constant shift in different shades of blue. I imagine the Pepsi is that times 10 which makes it a really intriguing watch for me a a second.

Does the Sub LV green also shift in color as much as the BLRO for those that own both?

Nice thread! I see some variations in my BLRO bezel, but it never seems to get as light as yours.

Congratulations. I never particularly liked the BLNR until I saw one for real. The blue really does pop. The blue of the BLRO cannot be the same because it needs to accommodate the red. It's easier to turn a blue insert half black than blend blue and red together.

Thanks! Yeah, I understand how they are made, and it really makes sense, particularly that I have it in my hand! I felt the same on the BLNR, the BLRO does WAY better in pictures, but in person, the blue on the BLNR is more interesting. Still getting used to the BLRO though, so I'll see if my mind changes after a few months of swapping.

Just out of curiosity, did you get your Pepsi from an AD or another source?

I got it from a dealer in the classified here. The only ADs near me don't really sell anything else I'd like to own, so building a relationship with them wasn't worth it.

I have a MarkII or III don't know which as it's a early 2021 but mine is the same in direct sunlight it's like a Mark I and it other condistions it's super dark and purple, def a classic the BLRO and seems to be up there with the white face ceramic daytona in terms of complexity getting from an AD

My MKI would change depending on light. Sometimes it was amazing, often it was purple and pink, that’s why I got rid of it.

Similar to OP my blro seems to be on the darker side, which is perfect for me. Super enjoyable on the wrist.

Mine is like that sometimes too. I suspect the little elves that built/painted the bezel used magic paint. ... or something like that. Such a cool watch.

Put your Pepsi under a black light and you will see why the blue it that way. I dont know for a fact but the blue appears applied over the red. You will see this under the black light.
