16713 GMT Master II Rootbeer and Hong Kong

Hi,

I'm looking for a mid-2000s 16713 GMT Master II Rootbeer, they use don't seem to be out there (only listed younger than 2000 listed on Chrono24!). Does anyone know why that is? I get that they weren't the most popular model but...

I figure I will try my luck in Hong Kong when Im there next month. Does anyone have any good recommendations for dealers that may be able to source one?

Thanks in advance.

Please avoid Ivan watches. Bad experience with them involving a Frankenstein GMT.

Buy a black dial 16713 and just have it converted to a root beer at an AD, which is fully allowed by Rolex.

Hm, this is an interesting approach, I wouldn't be opposed to it as my intent is to wear not sell. I am in the US, would RSC allow this like they do on the datejusts?

The Swiss Link in the UK had a really nice one a while back. Very sharp, around a 2001 I think.

Wow thanks that s pretty good looking example. Seems like the crown side lugs are a bit thinner (even lugs important to me). Price is high but not totally crazy when you factor in a service cost.
