Not really new. A version of this has been out for a few years and is more of a halo piece of what Omega can do. I don't think they're actually expecting this to be a big seller.

Why? That is the question. Who is this market for this watch at that price? How many do you expect to sell?

Really enjoyed seeing Armand Duplantis wearing one while breaking the world record

It is a good looking watch with a lot going right. The coaxial thickness is always a sticking point for me, Regardless, I am a wearer at his price.

Yes, it got thrashed by some on the forum yesterday. Probably will again now.

I agree it’s not for everyone, and certainly not my taste. What I admire though is Omega’s ability to create interesting, unique watches.

I don't see the point, but it wasn't designed for customers like me or most on this board. I like that they do these sorts of things but if they sell more than a dozen I'd be shocked.

That is simply awful! This is the epitome of walking out the door with this watch at retail and burning half the money you just spent!

The regular Aquaterra (black lacquer dial) is already over priced enough in my opinion so this $50k to me is a day light robbery

It looks cool, idea and materials are cool, it’s $16,000 i dont understand their thought behind not making it a limited edition and trying to get 50k for it . It’s so far off the map of what omega can charge. I don’t know who’s going to want it at that price.

There must be something I'm missing out on I don't see how it can be worth what they're asking. Unless this is why...The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8928 Ti, the brand's first movement built from titanium. But even then it's only titanium, not Platinum...maybe titanium is difficult to work with in making a watch movement out of??? It's beyond me. Nice watch though.

I believe you press in on it and it is spring loaded and pops out so you can use it.

It’s not easy and deserves praise and a premium

Correct, the price point is more of a reflection of the fact that Omega did the movement out of titanium....I think if they had managed to make it slightly thinner it would be better.
