Thought I was a one watch guy.. incoming

Feeling grateful and loving my new-to-me 5711, but doing the dishes with it on made me think twice..ha

After a difficult but rewarding year, decided to add a more casual daily wearer as well, found this new old stock 5167a with old clasp and pretty happy with the “collection” now

PS sorry for the poor photo quality, TRF seems to not let me upload higher res photos unless a paid member

There were a few to choose from, my requirements were old clasp but 2021 or newer and in best condition... hunted on Chrono24, I have dealer friends who have them as well (2009 model very discounted, and 2021 model) if you want me to connect you feel free to PM me

Depends on how discerning you are for condition, movement (324 vs 330), and clasp (old clasp vs new)

Do you really need the 5167a when you have the 5711 tho?
I find the 5711 versatile and casual enough, but of course it's nice to have both!

Boom. Lovely watches!

I understand the purchase - it's a perfect combo.

Maybe a No date sub for when things get rough and your all set for life lol

Congrats looks great

Question is the old clasp better? I thought the old clasp was friction closure and be clasp had pushers. Wouldn’t the pushers be better and more secure?

Like watches in general I think this is very subjective, but if you run a search on here you should find posts and threads on it

TLDR is I much prefer the older clasps on both Aquanaut and Nautilus, the new one is a mistake in my eyes because the locking mechanism, while maybe more "secure", now has a bulge on the interior side that I really don't like for both models

If you have the luxury of choice, answer is both.. I find both suit their purpose very well, and either or is top!! No other models or brand I'd want personally

Having both is great.

Both are great references, let us know after a year of ownership which one got more wrist time. I know the answer already.
