You'll never go wrong with the iconic Datejust, it's a great timepiece. Congrats on your purchase, and hope you get that Sub soon!

To be honest with you, after watching many Youtube showing the superclone subs. I’m not sure who I should trust beside the AD. Very temp to order from Ebay many times but….

Long jewelers are the worst unfortunately. I would recommend to go out of state to buy a Sub. It shouldn’t take more than 3-6 months.

This was my thought also. Another year for the blue dial TT Sub. I would go elsewhere.

I disagree entirely. Boston-area resident here and there are some great people working at the Newbury St boutique.

My recommendation to the OP, if he still wants that Bluesy, is to reach out to his sales associate every couple of minds, either via text or in person, say hi, and remind them of the ongoing interest in that piece.

There are so many reputable dealers on here that could have gotten you a bluesy for probably right at MSRP plus tax brand new. It’s hard to get scammed if you do your due diligence

I think this may be my first post. I used to post on TURF back in the super early 2000's. I am more of a lurker here, but i wanted to add my own experience with Longs Jewelers. Most of my experience with them has been at the Nashua location. They got me a Deepsea in one month and a datejust 41 blue stick / jubilee / fluted bezel in 5 months. I did go to the boutique while in boston and to their new Patek boutique as well. Was treated well in both. I imagine it's a longer wait for watches in boston than in new hampshire

Nicely done and welcome to the club! I'm in MA just north of the city. Would be great to have a meetup. I have a great relationship with Longs and visit them in Boston, Burlington and Nashua is near my office. Good folks everywhere.

First, I wish you best health and spirits.

I’m in Boston, MA, and as a first-time Rolex owner, I’ve been on the waiting list at Long’s Jewelry for 13 months for a Bluesy or any Submariner that isn’t full gold (I don’t have the budget for that yet). Unfortunately, nothing has become available.

At this point, I inquired about options under $20k that I could buy immediately. They offered me a two-tone Datejust, but since I’m not fond of the Jubilee bracelet, I passed. They then mentioned a DJ 41mm with a silver smooth Oyster bracelet and silver dial. I didn’t want to wait any longer, so I picked it up yesterday. They also mentioned that the Bluesy would take another year, and they will call me when it becomes available.

I received a compliment from one of the bankers when I stopped by to close my HELOC. I’m proud to be a Rolex owner!

Thanks for reading.

Congratulations post some pictures. I am in Boston as well and have purchased few from Longs

North of Boston over here. Longs in Peabody has always been a good experience. Never made a purchase from the store but they were always welcoming.

Another Bostonian here. Longs is top notch. You have to build a relationship like many ADs. They always treat you with respect and have a lot of customers to satisfy. It’s not a small area to cover. I love Longs and wouldn’t buy anywhere else. Great folks all around from my years of experience. Know many of the folks there.
