Impressed with this JLC

Tried this one on. Thought next addition was likely a Patek 5205r… now a little less sure.

I can see why you are impressed with it. It's mesmerizing. That said, the day/date/month windows at 10,12,and 2 O'clock on the Patek are spectacular as well.

Tough choice, although I slightly favor he Patek.

Love that.

My lovely wife prefers that watches come to me as gifts from her, and there are two sorta landmark occasions coming in the next couple of years where she'll probably ask me for a short list. Of course that list is started, and that watch is on it

I thoroughly enjoy my Master Control Date...

I like that JLC.

The 5205 on the other hand is not for me at all. Lots of design choices I dislike including the 24h ring I don't need (instead of a date ring) with the center pinion going straight through the 24 on top. I'd much rather get a preowned 3940 or even a 5140 or 5320 than any of Patek's ACs.

Great looking watch. I have enjoyed finding JLC models in the secondary market, most new or slightly used for 40-50% off retail. Great value at that price. Go see what you can find.

The JLC is exquisite, but I just can’t help feeling the day and month windows are just that little bit too close.

Decided on the JLC over the 5205.

Just sang to me more…

Very happy with my decision.

Nice pick up. I was thinking about seeing it this week.

JLC's version of a Patek PCC (although not a PCC of course). Tremendous relative value there. Enjoy!

Thanks! I enjoy many different brands but have several Rolexes and still a couple more to add… really appreciate this JLC and the brand overall. Wish the Reverso fit my wrist / style better or I’d be adding one of those too.
