I prefer all black. The green bezel, to me, sticks out and doesn't flow overall real well.

Great shot. Bravo

Typically new owners to Rolex want the black Sub as it is the classic and most safe first Rolex to buy. After awhile as your Rolex taste grow and mature you may find the black Sub “boring” and perhaps too common or generic looking with so many other imitation designs looking like a black Sub. This is where Sub models like the Bluesy and LV seem much more exciting and appealing to wear.

So well written and spot on. I own both versions and they both get equal wrist time. Excellent thread OP!

Life is short buy the watch-

I really appreciate all the feedback. As stated, I'm not a rookie when it comes to Rolex, I've owned serveral and still have a few in my modest collection. However, none without the date -- not even my Omega or Glashutte. Therefore, the thought of having the no-date is very appealing to me given it's uncomplicated and symmetrical appearence. Of course, I'll take whatever comes first and then decide if I really want the second.

No Date Sub for me. Goes with absolutely everything and I love the simplicity

agree, i would take the MK2 over the no date but if it is the MK1 vs No date then i will go for the no date. hard to explain unless you see the three of them in person
