Trade TT YG Wimbeldon towards TT Root Beer??
In the opinion of all would it be a wise move to trade a mint Wimbeldon towards or for a TT GMT Root Beer similar dates? I would consider myself a novice in the Rolex trade world and know this is a fairly open question but looking for some direction.
Thanks. |

A lot would depend on what other watches you’ve got, & whether you prefer dress or tool watches?
One to one with no other considerations, I’d defo keep the Wimbledon. I was in my AD on Friday morning & they had a Rootbeer on display which I spent a bit of time looking over, but it didn’t do anything for me really. That’s was consistent to previous times I’ve seen that reference too. |

Now this is a good trade! I've seen a lot of threads lately with proposed trades that have me scratching my head, but not this one.

You’re quickly seeing here, there isn’t and won’t be a consensus. And it’s based mostly on personal taste, in a case like this, not on value.

Of the two I'd take the CHNR but I can't tell you what you like.

Personally….it’s classic vs professional. Whatever fit in my collection best would work. Although for myself, I’d have two completely different ideas on TT classic vs professional, as neither of those are my taste. Bottom line… Get whatever makes you happy when looking at your wrist.

I would do it if it was what I wanted.
