Unless it's an every day watch, for me it must have a quickset date. So 16610 or 16710.

I'm sure that those who know me have a good idea on the model that I prefer so it will come as no surprise that my choice would be the GMT 1675 for its handsome look and versatility. My second choice would be a quick-set version from the early 1980s - the GMT 16750.

If I have to already own it... It wouldn't be a Rolex (T-Sub 9411/0 for me) but if I had limitless budget: 5517 MilSub!

Of the vintage Rolex models I own or have owned, without a doubt the 1675 for its visual appeal, versatility and overall recognition and wrist presence. It's the only model I've bought twice!

As a "Magnum, P.I." fan, I'd have to go with a 16750

Of the vintages I have, I would have my 16760, and of the ones I don't have, a Paul Newman.

I would vote for a 5513. I wore one on a recent holiday to Australia and it was such a joy. Simplicity and solid as a rock

A 5512 gilt dial with the very early flat crown guards. Mine is the same 5512 gilt PCG -1960- chapter ring.
Backing the 5512 up would be the red 1680 from 1969 seen at the left-avatar-50 years of service.
