First AP
After being a Rolex guy my whole life, finally getting my first AP, 15500OR on bracelet.
Question, do all AP boutiques size your watch? Is appointment necessary? |

Congrats! AP will size it for you no problem even if you bought it gray. They have a technician on site all day usually. Don't need an appointment unless you are going to a House. looks like you are at SCP so should be fine to drop in. Post pics once it's sized!

At the AP boutique, They also bring out the champagne while your watch is being prepped……And take pix of you wearing your new timepiece……Enjoy!

You’re in OC? I got my first RO and visited the SCP boutique for sizing. No problem and great service.

Thank you everyone! Should be getting it next week. I went the grey route, I'm on the waitlist with SCP AP but who knows if they'll every call me.
Since I went grey, its a 2022, can I register it? |

Congrats on your first AP! The 15500OR on a bracelet is a stunning choice. Yes, most AP boutiques do offer watch sizing services.

Tremendous. No one does RG like AP, think that’s a great watch to get into the brand.

It takes literally 2 minutes to change the links yourself, very easy to do, you don't need to go to the boutique.

newbie question, when winding the watch, obviously i unscrew and start winding it clockwise, am i supposed to feel any sort of resistance or anything as im winding? Don't seem to feel anything and watch doesn't automatically start until i move it a bit, is that normal?

I'm in the same camp. I do all my own link changes since I cant trust anyone else to do it without buggering up the heads. On my APRO though you need to be set up correctly and have something laid down so if that tiny tiny screw drops it doesnt go MIA. I do it at a large table while seated with great lighting and using my optivisor over a towel covering the whole work surface. AP is so superior to Rolex by using a bar for the connection point and a screw in the end so the bar cant come out. This way by wearing the watch the screw cant work itself out and get lost and have your watch fall off.
