5940r perpetual

Any owners of the 5940? Looking for some feedback of ownership!
Was thinking about purchasing one- the case shape is quite alluring to me.

Any feedback for daily wear? Any issues to look out for etc?

i tried a 5940r on 4-5 years ago whilst travelling in the UAE on holiday. Was wearing a 5712r at the time (which i still own). I thought that would be the next watch i would buy from PP. Absolutely wonderful watch and i love an underdog! At least a version that not everyone is lusting after. I would get that in a heartbeat. Fabulous.

Thanks for the feedback! Agreed, really lovely, and a PP perpetual at 8mm thick!

Great choice. This watch is imho the most overlooked watch available. Classic perpetual calendar, the complication that Phillippe stern chose to wear as his daily. The case has been used in masterpieces such as the 3670 (my grail) and the 3950. Simply beautiful. The idea that these are selling below msrp amazes me. The 37mm size and 8mm thickness wears beautifully just like a dress watch should.

it wears bigger than expected and fits my 7.5” wrist perfect.

Ps I have to share the watch that brought me to this case shape. I purchased the 3585 on the spot and fell in love. It was with great sadness when after inspection I learned the movement was destroyed by water. I received a refund but I knew that I would replace it (for a much higher cost) with something that had a cushion case.

This is a vintage back winder. They were notorious for suffering from moisture damage. The crown is positioned on the case back.

The 3585 is very cool.

It has a touch of a Ferrier Square.
