49ers' Ricky Pearsall shot in Rolex Robbery in San Francisco

What is the world coming to. Union Square, middle of the day. If an NFL star can get robbed 1/2 a block from a brand new Rolex boutique….

“The suspect tried to steal Pearsall’s Rolex as he was making his way to an autograph signing.”

Hate to say it - not shocked at all. Hope he is able to make a full recovery and they find who did it - and keep them in jail.

I just read this.

Wish him a speedy recovery.

But just another reason to not wear a Rolex in big cities like SF and NYC etc.

Times changing folks …

Looks like it was a yellow gold one whatever it was. There’s a very blurry photo of him getting into the ambulance, still had the watch.

Speedy recovery young man.

Criminals are bold these days. Doesn’t matter where you are, or time of day.

Criminals are committing robberies while you’re dining indoors or outdoors in NYC. Stealing watches, and wallets.

Casio is my go to.

Wasn't there just another thread about Rolex opening a boutique there and several members saying that area was pretty "safe"?

Given the political climate there he could be charged with injuring the robber and the perps family might sue him.

So sorry to hear about this. I heard he was shot during a robbery. I had no idea it was because of his watch.

SF is not safe. California is not safe. Its disappointing that a story of violent robberies is a common occurance and we can't enjoy a beautiful city like SF.

Brutal to hear this. San Fran really needs to clean its act up. I wouldn’t visit that terrible city unless it undergoes a lot of change. It was so nice about 15 years ago.

I am in South Bay and SF is about an hour away. Swear to God, I haven’t set foot in that city for years now .
And don’t plan to.

And with all humility and respect to everyone who lives there, I had a date night offer and I turned it down since she wanted me to meet her in San Fran lol.

Attempted Rolex Robbery 49ers 1st round pick

Ricky Pearsall, the San Francisco 49ers' first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was shot during an attempted robbery at San Francisco's Union Square. Pearsall struggled with the robber and gun, both recieved gun shot wounds to the chest. The Robber is in custody.

Glad to hear he is going to be ok....

And people ask if it’s safe in London, Paris or Rome…

Hope he’s ok but that’s ridiculous. I haven’t been to San Francisco for maybe 15 years now but hard to imagine it happening in that spot in the middle of the afternoon.

Not a good story. Hope he makes a full recovery. And very sad to see that this can happen in a city we visited many years ago and loved. And as mentioned by Mr Ben the amount of is it safe to wear my watch anywhere outside the US when this is happening is bonkers
