Where to source a silver date wheel for a 1680 (Cal. 1575)
Hi there,
I hope this is the right place to post as it is my first time posting here. :) I just wanted to ask where the best place is to source an original date disk for a (Red) 1680? The date wheel in mine has been retouched previously and even though it's not visible when wearing the watch, I'd like to replace it with an untouched original one with the open sixes again. Cheers! |

.
Welcome to the forum! That is a loaded question. Are you looking for a specific type of disc? Brushed or painted silver, open / closed numbers, hooked 7s.. Maybe time for research or open a healthy discussion. Otherwise, as far as to where you can find - usual places - Ebay, local / known watchmakers, place a WTB here or VRM, etc. |

I'd keep an eye on Fiery Gems on ebay. They have some open 6/9s at the moment but not a silver:

What year is your watch - list the first few digits of the serial number please.
I have some discs and should have a correct one based on the year/serial number. Send me a private message with a contact phone number.

Wrong colour but if Springer can't sort you out, worth giving these guys a shout too as they have a huge inventory:

The early red subs had an off-white disc.
