BLNR trade for vintage Elipse 3738
I think I know my answer. But just wondering what the forum thinks. I have a 2015 BLNR oyster. Box papers everything. Original owner.
I’ve been offered a 3738 Patek elipse. Mid 90s No box, no papers, no original buckle, no extract from archives. Two totally different watches I know, but what’s your opinion on this trade bearing in mind 1) your thoughts on both watches and 2) if it makes financial sense. They haven't said if it will be additional cash on either side,or just watches Thanks. My gut feeling is to keep the BLNR for those who are asking. Despite it being a PM Patek.

I would keep the BLNR. Perfect daily watch & your the original owner as well. All the more reason.

The Elipse is an interesting watch that has had a surge in popularity as of late. These were readily available at significantly lower prices just a short time ago before they took the bump. I think they are too small, too much of a one look, one wear watch and I do not believe they are robust on any level. If I had to have one I would look to a vintage one and just add it to the collection. I would not consider trading a BLNR for one. The BLNR is a go any where/do anything watch should you choose and could be a one and only for a life time.

Sounds like a desperate to get a Patek trade, or perhaps a desperate to get rid of that Patek trade.
No thanks on giving up a GMT for an ellipse.

Ridiculous proposal, maybe a modern white gold with grey dial full set and buckle (of course)

That’s a no from me. Doesn't even sound like a decent example of a elipse
