Any pics of 116506 Platona on a strap?

I am trying to determine the viability of wearing this with a nice leather strap and have been struggling to find some good pictures. I love the look of the bracelet, but I much prefer wearing leather straps. Does anyone have any pics of their own or care to share some of the better looking calf/alligator leather strap combinations...or just share their opinions?

Had it worked out on mine before I sold it. Even had a custom-made strap that I never wore. I've got the strap but not the watch. What size wrist do you have? I'd like to see someone use it.

Great, thanks so much. Does the weight feel odd with a strap? I was thinking about a dark brown, but do you prefer the black?

They’re stainless Smarty Jones, iirc.

Why? Because sometimes it's nice to change things up and give the bracelet a rest. The watch was pretty heavy and the bracelet a scratch magnet. This was an attempt to make it work for me.

I appreciate the offer but I don't think that I would wear the black. Thanks for the pictures though!

I figured that would be the reaction of most and I completely get the sentiment, but I simply do not like wearing bracelets. I was hoping to get a better feeling of whether or not I could pull it off with the leather without completely ruining what I love about the watch. I blame my first Panerai and its strap-swapping utility.

It's not black. The image I had here was my first bracelet. I can send you an image if you're at all interested. I have a 6.5in wrist so that is the primary issue.

I think it looks great on a strap!

Same! And I don't feel that way about most Rolexes but this works.

Well these are not exactly for the faint-hearted or boardroom members of the “Franken” whiner institute ….

A few years ago me and my open minded watchmaker had a little fun with a converted whitegold Daytona 116519. The dial is genuine from the platinum 116506. Gives you some ideas and inspiration perhaps!

OEM 116519 tobacco strap

Custom made ice blue strap

Nato GULF colors

Custom Visconti Milano fabric strap

116519 OEM chestnut strap

That watch, with that dial, on the Tobacco strap, looks amazing.

If you want another platinum chronograph on strap option … I’d highly recommend the calibre 321 …

Unfortunately I’m not a strap guy at all … now if it came on a bracelet … well then there’s the price
