Help me decide - Trade up Deepsea D Blue?
Hi -
I have a dilemma and would love to hear your thoughts. I have a Deepsea D Blue currently that I like. I have been also eyeing an AP Royal Offshore (attached). I can't afford to keep D Blue AND buy the AP so it will have to be a trade-up where I will be trading D Blue plus $10k to 12k cash to get the AP. This made me look into other optIons that provide that industrial look like AP, which brought me to Hublot Big Bang (attached) which I can get for $12k to $14k pre-owned. Now comes the dilemma: 1. Should I trade up my D Blue for the AP and spend additional $12k for the upgrade OR 2. Should I keep my D Blue and just buy Hublot Big Bang for $12 to $14k and not take the AP route? Thank you for your help! |

I wouldn´t buy either. Keep your Deepsea! Just my personal opinion, of course! You must buy what you want, what "sings" to you, and to hell with what anybody else thinks!

Keep the deepsea. Keep your money and wait to buy the AP.
The Big Bang sounds like a stop gap that will eventually end up costing you more money when you inevitably trade for the AP.

I would save up for the new one instead of the trading to avoid regret, but if your mind is made up then Good luck.

I know it's an AP but I think the JC is a better watch, especially for the (insane) cost of a SS on rubber that AP charges.
If you like the Hublot then go for it... I'd personally never buy one. There are 50 other watches I'd have over any Hublot. Not that they'd all have the industrial look you're seeking. |

If you like the Dblue why are you interested in selling it?
For me, this question has to be answered first before I decide to move a watch along. |

For me the only question is do I keep Rolex or do I go to AP. Hublot isn't even in the picture. Now with that said I'm a Rolex guy every Rolex watch that I have ever purchased i'm keeping for the rest of my life any other watch that I buy will be an addition to my Rolex collection and I do emphasize Rolex collection that's just me you are you, you do you enjoy and have fun you only live this life once. I like the idea of keeping the d blue and saving money for the AP, depends on how long you think that would take but you could do a budget a certain amount every payday. absolutely do not take out a loan to pay for a watch take your time save your money up set it aside for that particular watch and yes the value and the price will go up year after year but as long as you're budgeting for that particular item when you reach the amount you need it's not going to be a problem to buy it.

I would keep the Deep Blue and continue to save for the AP, if that is what you really want. I had a Deep Blue, and the dial is amazing and its a Tank of a watch that you can wear everyday. APs tend to scratch easy on the bezels, so its going to take a beating for daily wear.

I don't think either of those watches would get wrist time over my Deep Sea JC. Love the JC!

I have that same AP diver and love it. Traded a black dial 520 Daytona + cash for it and wish I made the swap sooner. Good luck!

I think you'd be settling for the Hublot.
At the same time, I wouldn't part with the D-Blue in order to get the AP. |

Neither the AP or the Hublot. Each have there own issues. Keep the Rolex and look at something to add.
