Some interesting Rolex models in Saint Tropez France

After scouting around the unavailability of any watches at the Rolex boutique I visited this grey dealer just across from the port of Saint Tropez. The store - Francine - had an impressive collection of vintage and contemporary Rolex on display along with other high end brands. Oddly enough the dealer I reported upon a few years back on the main village square was now gone, replaced by Louis Vuitton.

Overall, they had some beautiful references in stock, but the prices seemed on the higher side when compared to the US and the dealers on here.

Some nice references and hopefully you can scoop one up. When these watch dealers realize you can purchase these watches at a better price point in the states. Enjoy your trip!

Sadly, Brian, I didn’t ask about specific references. I did some rapid mental calculations against the euro and concluded that either the prices were outdated about a year or they genuinely list for anything from 10 to 20% over our US Grey counterparts.

However, the location lends itself perfectly to the mega yacht crowd who are moored literally a few feet away. I’m guessing the impulse buys after a tipsy session in the local bars account for a large portion of their sales

Very nice selection and lots of AP as well.
Its the same crowd that I encountered while staying at the Fontaine Blue on Collins in Miami. One evening in the watch store they have there in the lobby, they have loads of watches, I was buying a strap for my AP offshore to change things up while vacationing. This 30yr old came rushing in the store saying his wife forgot to pack a watch for this weekend away and needed something on his wrist. The guy pointed at the rose gold AP 15500 and said I will take it. The guy pays, tells the SA to keep the box as his friends are outside waiting for him and he will be back tomorrow for the box and papers......Meanwhile, I am still contemplating which strap to purchase.

Brilliant story

You got the picture. I saw a few of the well heeled precariously wobbling back to their mega yachts worse for wear after one too many cocktails. Those are probably the same type of buyers for Francine

Wow, that Sea Dweller looks like a hockey puck in comparison.
