Zenith Chrono Sport Bezel paint repair
Hey All! I have a Zenith Chronomaster Sport and one of the bezel markers is stripped of its paint (not sure how it happened). I dont want to send it back to Zenith and a watchmaker wants $150 to do it. I watched a few online vids and it looks pretty easy to do and hard to screw up since it’s ceramic and wipes off.
My question is two fold: am I crazy to do it? If not, what paint do I use?? I’m thinking a model enamel paint but if you have a better suggestion I’m all ears. Also, what sheen should I use? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Anal as I am I wouldn’t dare call anyone crazy - but if this were my watch, I would leave it as is.

Send it to Zenith if you have warranty. Don't do it yourself, and definitely don't pay $150 for someone else to do it. That's my two cents

No longer under warranty and I doubt they will paint it, they’ll charge for a new bezel which is silly for a little missing paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

With all due respect, this is a bit silly... get another bezel from Zenith.

Get a price quote from Zenith and make an informed decision. I would replace the bezel if at all practical price wise.

Presuming you have prepared the hash mark's surface - and access to simple flat white enamel paint - I see nothing wrong with trying and little to lose.

Agreed. I’m surprised everyone is saying to replace the bezel rather than make a simple fix, especially when it’ll be practically unnoticeable (it’s barely noticeable with it blank) nor will it have any impact on the watch. Like you said, I think there’s little to lose on this and I’ll feel accomplished if it turns out well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You're not crazy to try it. You're correct saying you have little to lose.
The 3rd part of your 2 fold question is "Also, what sheen should I use?" I say flat white, since it doesn't seem to reflect light in the pics. Good luck! |

Thanks. I’m leaning towards flat as well. It’s so small even under a loupe I can’t tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
