Had 3 ROs, all gone, but not the same ref.

So the only time it happened : 126710BLNR on jubilee. Love that watch, had to sell it. It's back and I couldn't be happier about it

Oh, and 116600 x 2 and the Speedmaster Pro x 2.

Those I had suppressed, to hide how much money that have been spent on watches through the time.

I’ve only owned 1 watch, the exact same watch more than once. It was the SD43.

I loved that watch. It still haunts me.

This sums it up for me also. I have been in the watch game since the early 1990's and have bought/sold/traded them all at one point. Most of them multiple times only to do it all again. It is somewhat repetitive but spread it out over 30 plus years, it is still repetitive. Some watches I just look at as place holders until I find something I want more or want to give a try. I sold a Platinum DD II one time to fund a Mercedes-Benz SL 550 for my wife. She drove it for a time and grew tired of it so I sold it, took the funds and bought some more watches. It is a hobby and I fully embrace my version of it.

I sold my original bluesy 116613lb for the 41mm version. After about a year, I realized I preferred the 116613lb bracelet and maxi case proportions, so I sold the 126613lb to re-buy a 116613lb. Also, I sold my original 116622 yachtmaster (blue dial) to fund another watch, realized I missed having a yachtmaster, so I bought a 126622 blue dial.

Too many to count. The Daytona is probably the most at 4 times before I got the hint.

DJ36 TT - 2. Gave my OG to my daughter, sold the 2nd one, settled on a '89 16713 on jubilee.
16570 Exp II polar - still own both. Second is an unpolished Z-serial, a keeper.
14060M - 3. 3rd is an unpolished G-serial, is a keeper.

It's been a fun journey!

ND sub, polar explorer, deepsea JC, Pepsi, BLNR, Hulk, platinum daydate baguette have all been owned multiple times. The hulk, JC and Polar are back in the current collection.

2 GMT II
2 Subs
1 Daytona
1 DJ 41
1 YM

Now down to 2 - Pepsi and Starbucks. Biggest regret that I sold 2005 white dial Daytona. They were not that hype back then

Many of the same models:

4 different Daytonas - 116520 steel, full YG, RG OF, 126500 steel LN -> forever piece.

6 Sub / SD (different sizes, so similar IMHO I put them in the same category) - ND 40mm Sub, 40mm date sub, 43mm SD, 40mm SD, 41mm Date Sub, now 41mm TT LN Sub ->TT is here to stay.

39mm Explorer - first Rolex, sold it foolishly, thankfully I was able to buy back the exact watch I sold, like it never left! -> it's pretty much the only Rolex I need.

Closest for me is exchanging a Submariner for a Sea Dweller.
