Datejust 116139 Sodalite?
Hello all - Was the 116139 ever offered with a sodalite dial?
I'd really like a DJ with a sodalite dial and blue factory strap, so I am evaluating my options. I am agnostic as to whether it is 18k or SS. Option 1: Simply purchase a 116139 that came factory-optioned with a sodalite dial. If such an example exists, this would be my first choice. Option 2: Source a 16234 on jubilee or 116234 on oyster sodalite example + smarty endlinks, and then very carefully configure a strap from Camille Fournet or ABP Concept to work with the clasp and endlinks. Even if this is feasible, it seems like a lot of effort and a lot could go wrong. Option 3: Buy any 116139, and then source an 116234 sodalite dial to have a watchmaker swap in. Are 116139 and 116234 dials even interchangeable? Also, I am generally against Frankenstein-ing. Even if I weren't, there are a lot of fake dials out there which is something I would avoid. Feel free to also let me know about any other options I may have overlooked. PS - Yes I know about the 116519, but that is beyond my price point for this itch.
