1950? Oysterdate 6094
Is there a way of authenticating this watch without opening the back cover or bringing it to a dealer?
It has 6094 stamped on the 12:00 position and a S/N on the 6:00 position. |

.
Welcome to the forum! The serial should give you the approximate year of production. You can read the model. That's two steps ahead of most of the inquiries we get here. Dial looks proper. Other than that, hopefully it has the legit movement.. What else are you looking for? |

Engraving looks fine - as ttg says dial looks ok.
It will be pre 1952 as Swiss Made dial footer. Very similar to this one btw Rolex Oyster £1,913 https://chrono24.app/rolex/rolex-oys...GB&SETCURR=GBP You can check the serial number against this database - most accurate in the world imho. Caseback will have year and quarter of manuf stamped too. http://vintagerolexforum.info/vrf/index3.html V unlikely not real as fakes not tooled-up on small diameter low cost stuff like 6426, 6964 etc etc

I have no concerns about it based on what I can see.
