2023 Serial Numbers- where?
Hello All,
Aside from the inner rehaut, is the serial number found elsewhere on the watch or mechanism? Does anyone know? I am considering a dial switch between my 126334 and 126300. This could be quite simply a case of switching out the mechanism but mindful of serial number relevance within any movement if indeed it is found anywhere other than the rehaut. Cheers to anyone that knows. |

Switching the dial does not change the position of the movement number or the random ID.

Thank you Padi and Andrad. Both responses answer the question.
I am considering switching my 12 datejust movements. As the dials are attached to the movements, I think doing this switch will be easier than switching the dial and hands. I will retain one of the watches and sell the other. I am the original purchaser of both. Come service time, presumably rolex will take no issue on the basis both are oem rolex watches and parts along with the fact and I am the original buyer. I appreciate opening the watches may invalidate the remaining warranty. Cheers. |

What dial colours do you currently have on your DJ41 & OP41?
Seems a pretty strange (but interesting!) thing to attempt If you prefer the dial colour in the watch you plan to keep might it be better to buy an aftermarket dial and sell the other watch as original Then you still retain the original dial which could be put back if you ever wanted to sell it Creating two Frankenstein watches from 2 original watches is wild! |

Frankenstein? They're oem genuine rolex dials friend. Fluted blue dial on the 126300 and rhodium on the 126334. Want to switch them and will then let the 126300 go. The blue fluted dial is discontinued so can't ask the stealer for one. Seems sensisble to me. Not sure why you think it strange but each to their own!! |

Find a watchmaker who'll actually swap the dials instead of just swapping the movements around and swap the dials. It's not that hard. Swapping movements with dials and hands attached would be slightly faster, but doing an acutal proper dial swap would keep the original movement.

I was considering that option, but concerned the hands would be marked by being taken off and refitted. Will give it some thought and reach out to a watchmaker for their opinion on the best way to mitigate any damage. Cheers. |

I had read the model numbers incorrectly and thought you were planning to swap a DJ41 dial/movement with a OP41 dial movement That was what seemed odd to me but what you're suggesting makes perfect sense I'd do the same as love the fluted/motif dial and would want that on fluted if possible A date wheel in a OP41 less so! |

Changing a dial and hands is very easy for a watchmaker and takes half an hour at most.
Absolutely no need to scratch up anything.

Agree with this. Better to send to Rolex and ask for dial swap, assuming it’s out of warranty. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

On the 6 oclock case, it's covered by the bracelet.
