Visit to SF Rolex Boutique

I stopped by the new SF Rolex Boutique yesterday. It’s currently open as part of a soft launch (it doesn’t show up on Google yet). It was reservation suggested but they were very accommodating with walk ups.

The store had tons of watches in the case. It was fun to see all the variations of the Submariner and GMT side by side. The decor was very well done but looked like it must have been done by the Swiss. I didn’t walk out with a watch but I didn’t ask for one either.

I went in a couple weeks ago. Got to try on a few exhibition watches. There were only a couple for sale and they were PM's.

What new store? Rolex website shows Kerns that's new. Is that the one you are referring to? Anyway any storefront photo since it's not on Google map yet? Do they accept new client who isn't new to Rolex?

How do you make an appointment? The Kerns form only has the Burlingame location.

Also surprised the form doesn’t require your LinkedIn, Insta and bank accounts LOL.

Sounds intriguing… when you say it looks like the decor was done by the Swiss what does it look like?

That’s the existing Bucherer owned boutique, pretty sure OP is talking about the new Kerns owned boutique off of Union Square proper. The Patek boutique next door will be opening soon as well.

The one I am talking about is on Post right off Union Square. I called Kerns Burlingame and asked for the phone number to the SF store.

The reason I said it looked like it was designed by the Swiss is because it had Rolex green incorporated almost everywhere, including the art glass looking decorations on the ceiling

Good luck with a walk up purchase...
Forgive me if I am sceptical about that.

Great. More reason to go. See Mr. Salesman, I risk my life for the mere chance of you selling a Rolex to me. Now isn't that worth dumping up the imaginary waitlist?

I felt safe the entire time. Everyone in Union Square looked nice, the streets were clean and there was a healthy police presence. Sometimes the news doesn’t reflect reality.

SF used to be one of my favorite cities. Shreve was always an enjoyable AD visit. Shame what's happened to it the last few years.

Which is why you are still around to make this post.

(I keed, I keed).

Kinda. I’m domiciled for work in the Bay Area, and Burlingame is sufficient to quell most of my watch fetishes.

What or who is „the 49er”, if you don’t mind a question from Europe?
