I was surprised...by the AD
Short story. I was due to visit my AD regardless to try on some new models and she knew that I was coming in yesterday. As I was trying on a blue dialled OP, she tells me that she has another watch for my to try that I'll like. And out the back comes a white box. Inside was a Rolex box. And inside was my Yacht Master 40 with a blue dial that I'd waited a month for.
It came in 2 days earlier but she wanted to keep it a surprise since I was already coming in. Though she said if I didn't come in, I'd have gotten the text. It was a memorable experience and after reading many horror stories, I'm glad and so lucky that I had such a great experience for my first Rolex. |

Awesome watch. I also have one. Don't forget about its most unique feature which is the Platinum bezel insert. For me that's what makes it stand out and be so special on my wrist i'm wearing Platinum did I happen to mention it's got a platinum bezel insert i like Platinum

Very nice, and congrats. I had been waiting on the rhodium dial for a while. My AD had texted me, and offered me the blue. I went and tried it on - stunner - but I declined, and asked him to sell it to someone who really wanted blue, and I'd wait.
Couple weeks later I got the call for the Rhodium. I'll tell you though, I almost went with it, as that blue really is nice. |

Beautiful watch! I think this is underrated compared to the gray dial - the blue dial definitely pops!

Outstanding. My wife has one and I keep trying to con her out of it as it wears much nicer than my Sub.

Great watch. Congrats. One month wait is not bad at all.
I was thinking about this one as my first Rolex 6 years ago, but then went for a Date sub just from practicality standpoint. Platinum bezel is very nice, but also very prone to scratching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
