Market pricing New Yachtmaster 42 Titanium

Looks like I have seen these going down to $25k in secondary market. What do you expert watch owners feel that the price will eventually come down to?

It’d already dropped significantly compared to like models. I wouldn’t say much more as 25k is still a deal today, I’ve seen more,like higher 20 s

Who knows but 14K from AD is good value in my opinion. Not more.

I saw and got to try one on at my local AD a couple weeks ago. Per them and my main AD these have been slow coming in. I actually liked it a lot but no way I’d pay over MSRP.

That depends on how many they produce. Historically they didn't make a lot of YMs (but also the demand wasn't that high on them) also it's titanium. It requires different tooling equipment compared to the materials Rolex usually uses, so it also depends on how many tools they have. If they have enough, they could produce a lot of Ti YM42s and the price will fall. Or they could produce few of them and the prices will slowly be rising.

I’ve seen a few at the AD and like the piece but I would not pay $25K for one. Or even $20K MSRP that’s it. Unless you have to get one, because this is what you want.

Supply and demand and new reference hype like the new GMT. Always a premium.

Out of curiosity, I looked at David SW's site. I saw two unworn white metal 42mm YMs. One was the WG/OF version. The other was the ti version. The latter was $2,000 more... Wow.

Looking at that - to me plain and boring - watch, I am surprised that it trades above retail price at all.

After a while they will settle in the high teens to low 20's. Pre-owned. It will take more in the market to move the prices down.

I consider any watch priced too high if it's 15 to 25% over MSRP the reason I have such a spread is i prefer to pay 15% over MSRP of course less if possible but that's my comfort zone and if it's a really special watch I can stretch up to 25% over MSRP but that's how I rank the value of a watch if it's more than the 25% over MSRP it's not going to be bought by me that's my story for today and I'm sticking to it for today.

I am with Peter on this ,List is my preference, but if I was buying a White Sub I’d be going grey ,

I love the watch but not enough to buy it above MSRP. I think over time as they become available, the price will plummet.

I think this watch will always be in short supply. Prices will come down as a few more trickle onto the market but will always be well above rrp due to relatively small numbers made
