Blueish Residue

There is a blue residue on the crystal. The picture is a good representation. It won't come off. Anyone ever get this? Thanx

Is it on the entire crystal or just in a small area? Could it be the AR coating?

Thanx for response. Just in the area shown. Not entire crystal. Not sure what the AR coating does. Going to research now.

Antireflective coating. Should have know that. Can that cause blue streaks?

I don't think so. Did you try a mild dish soap to see if it will come off?

I never take off. I wear in shower and the streaks stay. Under warranty. I just don't want to part with it.

I would try the smallest drop of Dawn with just a couple drops of water, mixed on your finger tip, and rub it on, rinse off with a damp clean cloth. Then dry. That got some factory smudge off of my DJ that I couldn't get off any other way.

Isn't Rolex just putting AR coating on the inside? ...If you have it at all.

Good luck!

Some chemicals can cause stains on the crystal, only way to to fix it is a new crystal. I have a stain on my own BLRO but it's tiny I live with it, but RSC insisted on a new crystal on my brothers BLNR as it had a few spots. Most likely caused by car cleaning products in our case (we are classic & sports car dealers). Not sure which one but TFR (traffic film remover) or alloy wheel cleaner are the main suspects..

Still under warranty. Would this be covered?

Do anyone know how much a crystal goes for? I'm guessing relatively inexpensive.
