1988 Rolex 15037 Oyster Perpetual Date 34mm 14k Yellow Gold Fluted Jubilee Quickset

For sale is an excellent condition 34mm 14 karat yellow gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date. The 15037 is a 9,761,xxx serial, circa 1988 production, and is not accompanied by box or papers.

The Rolex features a brushed yellow gold case, which is accented by a fluted gold bezel. The Oyster Date is mounted on its original 14 karat gold 6311 Jubilee bracelet, which contains 19 full size links, and sits loose on a 7.25 inch wrist. The swiss made 6311 Jubilee bracelet is stamped with a “L12” clasp code, which corresponds with a production date of December, 1987. The Rolex features a silver sunburst dial with applied polished gold stick hour markers, gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The movement used in the 15037 is the quickset Rolex Caliber 3035, which is currently running well.

Condition:
The case has been preserved well and retains evenly thick crisp lugs, while the bezel flutes remain sharp. The caseback does contain a light engraving, which could easily be removed. The Jubilee bracelet has also been preserved well and contains minimal stretch, while the coronet on the clasp remains well defined and crisp. The dial and hands are flawless and remain free of any imperfections, while the acrylic crustal contains light wear on it’s surface. Overall, reference 15037 remains in excellent condition, and has begun to develop a light oxidation on its gold case and bracelet.
