I have been offered a DateJust
A well known and established coin and jewelry store in my area offered my a SS smooth bezel DateJust with a blue dial and large Roman numerals on an Oyster bracelet. It has all the papers, accessories and box including the stamped green diploma guarantee. I think it is in the 36-38mm? case size range. Purchased at Bucherers in Lucerne in 1996. It looks virtually unused. I have been trying to determine the typical price range for a watch of this model, age and condition but I have not found anything comparable. He stated $5K but I haven't haggled with him. I did not ask if it was ever serviced. I would appreciate any assistance.

More importantly, do you want it? You mentioned nothing about actually liking it. Is it true love, or lack of options?
Doing a quick look on Chrono 24, they’re going for low $6k. Others here will know better. |

You mean they're asking for $6K on Chrono. What they're going for may be less.

It'd be 36mm. Pics would help.

I came to the store to sell some jewelry since my wife passed away nine months ago. He saw my 1675 and said he got a Rolex in. Before I even saw it I hoped that it was not a DateJust but when I saw it I was really impressed. Quite frankly it looked like a Explorer with a different dial and a date (which I absolutely require). The case and band are beautiful. I apologize that, except for casually glancing through the TRF Marketplace, I have never searched through Chrono24 or other sites. The advertisers here seem to specialize in recent models.

It might be worth asking about the service history, though.
