I've got a silver OP41. I have no regrets on the choice, but I too like the aesthetics of the 36 a little more.

So the 36mm would be my preference. A classic watch, and style.

36mm OPs look much better on any wrist

The AD is pushing me to go with the OP36 (if/when it comes in), I'm guessing because it is definitely easier to get, and while it feels good on my wrist, I feel like it looks a bit small in the mirror (I am 6 feet tall with roughly 7" wrist). Meanwhile, I love the bigger and easier to read dial of the OP41 (if I can get one) but feel like the proportions are not quite as balanced on the watch, and worry it may be slightly too big.

What are your experiences with these watches in the sizes, and which looks better on my wrist? (OP36 is first pic from left and OP41 are other 4 pics)

Mate, 41 is big on your wrist, it is so obvious.
Also do not discount the heft of 41 if you wish to wear it daily, trust me it will bother you. For that reason I took my wife’s 34 !

Just out of curiosity, has your preference changed at all throughout this discussion and the responses?

Good luck with your decision and acquiring your OP green!

Agree wholeheartedly. I have a DJ41 and never wear it. OP36 is small but the proportions are better. plus the nicer hour markers then the OP41 put it over the top for me.

I’m now trying to get an OP36 yellow maybe. I have a DJ41 and while it looks great. I feel it’s too big. Dinner plate is good analogy. DD40 is the bette size.

Regarding OP36 v OP41 the hour markers on the 36 are beveled on all 4 sides while the OP41 is only beveled along the long sides and doesn't glimmer as nicely in the sun. Plus the dial on the 36mm is filled just right and doesn’t have empty space like the 41.

Here a video comparing the 2 sizes and our pair

Really digging these OPs. Should have asked for a yellow OP36 when they were available. Now I’ll even take the pink 36 I’ve requested for my daughter and sport it for a long while myself or indefinitely.
Update. I just ordered a yellow OP36 for me. I couldn’t resist.

Nice-- didn't even know that was still an available option to order from Rolex!

Appreciate it! I do like the proportions on the 36mm better but the dial is pretty small (or I probably just need glasses lol) and it wears small in the mirror. Honestly, I am probably ok with either at this point so we will see what arrives (fingers crossed!)

I got the 41mm Silver earlier this year, I have a wide/flat wrist 7.25"-ish, I find most Rolexes to wear smaller than advertised. So far I love it!!

For comparison sake I also recently got a Cartier Santos, went with the large for that one too, the medium just struck me as too small. I also have a Tag F1 chrono which is a big watch, and a Seiko Monster, those are 43 and 42 mm respectively and I like how they look/fit on my wrist

At the end of the day it's how you feel about how it looks and whatever your personal tastes are.
