Does the book mention anything about the 5 South African teflon coated submariners delivered in the mid 70s? It is hard to find any information at all about them.

Looks like a really interesting book. I will order it.
If you want more on specific models and technical information I guess you have to order the Mondani Submariner books. But that was never my main interest. More on the general history.

Does this cover ONLY sub or other models as well? like GMT, etc.

According to the Publisher, this is the first of a series, with other models being covered in future books.

This is what the non silk version looks like. I think the silk version certainly warrants the premium.
