Very Random Choice - Pepsi or Celebration

Going to purchase a celebratory present for the birth of my first born/daughter. To mark the occasion I am debating between a GMT Pepsi w/an Oyster Bracelet or a Celebration Dial Oyster Perpetual. The Pepsi is of course would be more of a reasonable choice but given the occasion I wasn't sure if I should do something a little different. What do you all think?!

Celebration is cool, my wife just got the Tiffany. It’s the perfect women’s watch imo. I would never wear it myself.

Both are nice watches maybe if it’s to be gifted later I’d say the celebration dial

Depends what else you have.

Considering the context, the Celebration has a strong argument on being chosen.

For a one and only though (or very small collection), it should be the GMT. I’d nudge you towards a jubilee bracelet too.

Celebration I hope will age well by the time she's old enough to wear it, but Pepsi overall would be the more useful watch.

The problem with the Pepsi is whether she will have a wrist large enough to wear it.

If I were in your shoes and I had that money to spare, I would put it in a stock fund for her to help pay for her college education. That could grow to quite a handsome sum in 18 years.

Get yourself a Pepsi and she can keep it, treasure it and/ or sell it. And get the other half a smaller celebration dial OP. She can treasure it and give it to her daughter.

Sounds like he’ll be buying grey so not hard at all, just more expensive. Either way OP I think they are both cool pieces but if you’re going to gift it to her I’d say the celebration dial. I think both will hold value well, so if watches aren’t her thing and she decides to sell it someday I think you’d be safe in either one from a value retention standpoint.
