YM42mm OWNERS opinions!
Hey team I currently own two 40mm Yachtmasters (rhodium and RG) and considering adding 42mm - I have tried booth ( YG and WG) on again today and after all my watches being 40mm it seems huge! (looking back few years back I was 44mm guy duh ) Anyway- I would like to hear opinions of owners- if it's good daily, if they would trade/resell or it's a keeper! i'm leaning towards WG as most of my watches are, and it's preffered metal:) but Yg seems cool too.
Anyway fam, please share clues, pictures and opinions please help me make decission soon :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have the 42 white gold. I LOVE this watch! I love the way its weight is evened out by the lightness of the oysterflex. The glidelock clasp is awesome! It's more svelte than the clasp of the submariner.

I have owned the 42mm Yacht Master in WG a couple of time and found it to be a very nice watch for what it is. In YG I always prefer a bracelet.

same for me. The dial on the RG is better in my opinion....the 42 WG and YG have a dial too similar to a Sub...the RG dial has that deep flat black that matches the Oysterflex nicely and I like the little bit of Gilt on the dial and the Red Yacht master text.

They don't resell well, gray market is already below MSRP.
Having said that, I've owned the 40mm RG YM with glidelock clasp and it was a great watch! I ended up letting it go as I felt like it didn't fill any role well - it wasn't "quiet" enough to be subtle given the RG, and it wasn't cheap enough to be a daily tool/all rounder watch. Hard to pair it with more formal clothing, but that's just my 2c. |

Congrats on the new watch. My advice is go for the SD43 and add the nice RubberB strap for half the price and have a much cooler piece imo
Life is short buy the watch- |

Not too big at all Dave, it looks great on your wrist.
Congrats…. I love the big Au case with all the black on the bezel and dial! It’s a great contrast! |
