Mk1 looks more refined and classy to me. Don't own either.

This exactly.

The MK1 colours work a lot better with the green dial of the Hulk. The MK2 green is perfection with the contrasting black dial.

I have a Dec 2023 version, looks like both. Also, lighting plays a lot color, both look great.

To me it’s charming that there are different shades.

Because he made it up himself, and if he says it enough times some people may believe it and pass it on as fact.

My SA at my AD told me this as well. Rolex told them directly after they got to see all the new novelties for 2023 about the green changing on the LV for the 70th anniversary. Bark and Jack talked about this too as well at W&W last year, so it's been confirmed multiple times.

Rolex doesn't need to publish everything they do for an anniversary. I find it comical people refuse to believe something just cause they never heard it them selves. To each their own, believe whatever makes you happy.

I tried to wear the Hulk at two different times over the years and just could not get past the green pastel shades of the bezel when looking down on my wrist. I was offered the MK1 and passed because of this as well. I liked the MK2 before it even came completely out of plastic coffin on the counter. It immediately remind me of the original LV. This yummy green goes so well with the SS and no more pastels. Its truly a Rolex nugget out of the catalog

The black looks different too. One glossy and one flat?

Having owned both MK 1 and 2, quickly sold the MK 1 as MK 2 was so much nicer and the green is much closer to the 50th anniversary Kermit. No regrets at all.

Mk2 seems closer to the original Kermit.

My other hot take is the Pepsi bezel colors look goofy and purple

To each their own.

I think the Mk2 green would look great in yellow two tone with the green dial color from the new DD.

I like the lighter shade it matches more closely to my true 50th 16610lv early 03. Y9 ser #f ser# followed.

This seems like the common consensus on collectors that have owned both.

While I do not have the 12 series "MK2", I do have the original 16610LV 50th anniversary edition. I know it;s highly subjective and personal, but I prefer the "deeper" green MK1 (vs. the 126610LV MK2). And maybe it's because I have the original LV (which I quite like too).

Your picture illustrates perfectly why the original 16610LV will always be king. The green on the aluminum insert has a metallic to it that I don't think Rolex will ever be able to replicate in ceramic form.

Great pics OP. These may be the best MK1 v MK2 side by sides that i have seen.

Both are great. Personal opinion, is that I like the MK1, although I actually think they should have made it a little darker to closer match the "rolex green" color.

While the MK2 is closer to the OG Kermit, they just can't replicate the color and aluminium look on the ceramic.

I was at a grey dealer store a couple weeks ago and he had both MK1 and MK2 and I went for the MK1. I don’t like the lime green on the MK2 and much prefer the “pastel” green on the MK1 which is more of a Starbucks green versus the Cermit.

Both are great and it’s splitting hairs. I don’t even like the color green, but the MK1 sold me as it’s more faint. In pictures it appears darker but in person and side by side it’s lighter to me.

Both are great.

MK1 is less in your face green in most lights and at certain angles and lighting can even look faded grey like a ghost bezel.

MK2 is more in your face green with lime shading and is a nod to the OG LV obviously. If you want “more” green, go with this one.
