Probably the easiest Rolex that I’ve owned to tell the actual time. Incredibly legible dial.

Such an unspoken and underrated watch. Still my favorite of all modern examples. This thread is inspiring to wear mine tomorrow.

Good luck on your search! It is true to it’s original form just with the worth while modern upgrades that we have come to take for granted on six digit watches.

Excellent video by whoever made this on the SD4k 116600!

We're all so lucky!

I replaced my 16610lv with a 116600, bought bnib in 2017 and kept in safe - unsticked in 2024!

Will appreciate its perfection for the next decades.

Enjoy it! It’s the best modern SS Rolex Diver IMHO. The finer details it offers (such as the fully graduated bezel, the matte dial, the proportioned / non-boxy 116xxx case) make it that much more enjoyable to wear.

Rolex knew exactly what they were doing when they made this piece. By far the best sports SS watch.

I joined the club in early July. I traded the 14060m in against the 116600 but for a brief shining moment I owned all three. And then there were two.

That’s a pretty iconic lineup right there.

What a watch. Newer to me. Have owned the 126600 but never warmed up to the size. This has been perfection.

In truth, I missed the 14060m for about a week and then… nothing. The 116600 dominates my wrist time even at the expense of the Deepsea. Be careful, the SD4K is a collection killer.

I've decided I'm going to go after a 116600 while they're still somewhat possible to get. Any years to go for or avoid? Any condition items you'd watch for? Anyone know of any good ones for sale? Would like original unpolished; small wear is okay but clean overall. Need full links.

I hear ya. The 116600 was my second Rolex, but first “true love”. It’s a keeper.

In the new Submariner Rolex book, they state that the total production number for the 116600 was 27,102 which is significantly less that most other modern day Rolex, for example the Sub Date 116610LN at 414905 units.

Only a matter of time before this particular model starts to climb in price. There are only SIX for sale within the UK.

That’s remarkable.

This is the next DRSD. The one modern sub/ish that rules them all.

Purchased the 116600 today. So happy. Now that I finally have one, you can watch the bubble burst and they'll be trading below $10K soon.

Is anyone wearing their 116600 on a RubberB with the integrated OEM clasp? I’m on fence. Want to pull the trigger but unsure.
