Vintage Omega Seamaster 101

So, I was looking at an ALS or AP, the last time I went to the city to shop for a watch. When I was talking to the sales associate he asked me about my collection. I mentioned that I had quite a few vintage Omega Seamasters.

He asked, "Why do you collect them? When you have other much more expensive watches."

I thought about it for awhile.
You know, watches are addictive like drugs. Sometimes you just can't find or afford cocaine. But in a pinch, crack will do. (I in no way approve of or take drugs, this is just an analogy.)

Anyway, got a little bored tonight, so here we go.

Nice watch! I also have a vintage Omega, to me there's something so appealing about them. Also, even today, some decent deals can be found compared to some other vintage pieces depending on which model. The Seamaster has a great hostory, very happy to own the one below:

That’s a good statement and I completely agree especially as I’m browsing vintage pieces as we speak 😅😅😅

Part for the same good reason as state above part because I think we have been blinded by so many commercials, IG, media etc with need to buy the latest and the best ….

Vintage is like a good wine which got the years in the waiting to drink excelent taste smell and flavor

Yes the new bottles are nicer but you need to age them properly and even than not the same taste

Nice watches gents

Yes, vintage Omega Seamasters, the crack of the watch world.

Cheap, plentiful, you can find them anywhere, yet still good enough quality that it scratches that itch.

I know if I have not bought a nice watch in 3 or 4 months, I start having withdrawal symptoms.

Thank goodness for Seamasters to help me get through those times.
