School me on the lavender OP
I have a friend who purchased this watch from a Hong Kong based dealer and paid a pretty strong ($3.8K) price for it. Now he wants to sell it. I don't much about the numerous variants of the OP, but am considering making him an offer.
What would have been the original dial color for this watch? Gray? Are these "lavenders" considered rare or more sought after than another color? |

It would have been gray (or grey) originally.
These lavender dials are generally advertised by dealers as rare, etc. but they don't appear to command a price premium, probably because there are a lot of them about and they don't seem to be particularly attractive to most people. |

^ makes sense. It doesn't seem like an appealing color for the mainstream.

Nice dial, but I personally would want to pay for an RSC service with a new hand set on it. How much are they asking because at $3.8k originally I reckon they overpaid.
