‘67 Steve McQueen (his watch yr) 5512 meters first.
1967 was interesting, as it was broadly Singers’ first year of the white writing, after gilt finished year before. This is their first stab, the mk1, which continues a secondary application of the bottom two lines of text, like the gilts. It’s a very light (and floating away from text above) application of lines 3 and 4 of white text, and can look a light blue hue, rather than white. Later in the year they went to a single application 4 line 5512 dial (mk2) that continued into ‘68, as per my post #27487 above, with a more distinct and integrated 4 lines of text, and that are usually a lot closer together.
