Two tone GMT
Is this model popular? I am assuming it’s not hard to source one from AD. What’s your experience in getting one from AD?

Personally although it's not as popular as the other steel gmt I think it's actually the best looking.
Just put your name down and you'll likely get it eventually. |

You’re correct, they’re easier to get than popular steel GMTs. When you have it on wrist, it’s a special watch.

Not a popular reference, but personally for me my fave looking GMT.
I have seen one in my AD & was very tempted.

Rather I'd say less popular than BLROs and BLNRs, perhaps as popular as CHNRs - inline with SS vs TT typically.

Def worth the wait, love mine, wait should be up to 6 months depending on your AD relationship and luck.

I wouldn't say "not hard to source". Not as popular as the SS GMT's but still a desirable watch by many. Could take up to six months depending on your relationship with your AD. Purchased mine from my AD in June of last year after they were first introduced. Just love it!

I love this watch!! It's absolutely beautiful. I think too many people mold their opinion on resale value and what everyone else thinks! Which is crazy to me.
To answer your question, I have been told that it is easier to get than a full steel sports model, so if this is the one you want, I say go for it! The grey market has them for around MSRP also, so there's that. Best of luck! I would love to add this model to my collection! :) |

When the TT ceramics came out in 2006 the Forum was flooded with this must-have watch. SS only is a fairly recent phenomenon Nobody looks down on a TT GMT

One thing I can tell you about this watch…
I know two people who have bought them. Both of them are fervently anti two tone and we’ve had some fun arguments over bi metal aesthetics. They have always been go steel or go full Au. Both of them bought this reference after seeing it at their AD’s. I will never stop rubbing them for it. Point is, it is a really special reference that I think punches above its weight class. It is available at retail right now from TRF sellers and is actually a bit cheaper than the steel version. |
