Let us make it better! A quartz movement in a plastic case for a heartbreak high price.

Spring Drives are amazing, but that tech isn’t leaving Seiko.

No worries I thought it was a pretty interesting take and it seems feasible albeit preposterous to some . It kinda makes sense especially as it would differentiate the Cubitus between the Nautilus and Aquanaut lines by having a sporty men's quartz model which the prior two product lines do not currently offer. It would complement the existing automatic models within the Nautilus/Aquanaut lines without as significant of an overlap due to the difference in movement and capability. A quartz Cubitus would also align with Thierry's statements about another "entry" level line of watches as quartz models are seen as more approachable. Either way, the truth will be revealed in less than 24 hours! |

No worries. My source should be quite reliable. It's the guy who runs "Luxify" (imagine a German version of Hodinkee), who will also attend the event.
Edit: He posted this on a German watch forum, which is why I feel free to share. Last edited by PT_91; Today at 03:13 PM.. Reason: Additional info |

Quartz or automatic, it’s no looker thats for sure. Let’s hope it was an early mock up design in the advert and not quite as bad as it appears!
