Would this case wear be a deal breaker
looking at this day date and curious if this wear would be a deal breaker for you. There is some 'scarring/scratching' along the bottom edge of the case and the marks in the side would polish but leave flea bites. Band is full and has minimal stretch. Thank you for your input.

It really matters what you deem as acceptable. Everyone here will have varying opinions on the theme. If, after a polish, it still looks dinged up, then I'm passing on that watch. But, that's just me. My watches, regardless of age, look new because I'm not hard on them and can do my own polishing between services. Good luck to you in your search.

As mentioned it becomes a personal choice as we all look at things differently. Tbh I don’t expect all my watches to look like new they are made to be worn

Not a dealbreaker for me. They are not visible while wearing, and they are inevitable. I would almost never polish a watch, and so those marks are going to collect over time. Some will wear off naturally, and others will just become part of the patina. They eventually won't stand out.

I think it also depends on the price...

No, these scratches can be easily removed without anybody being able to tell that they were ever there

Deal Breaker!!
Seriously, it's a used watch. Dozens of folks here spout "unpolish, unpolish only", yet if they see a scratch or ding they suggest that it should be tossed in the trash. Minor scuffs should never be "deal breakers", a deal breaker would be bent hands, lume falling out of the indices, mangled links and the like, not a scuff.

Nothing in the photos is really serious and can be repaired easily.

Not a big deal in my opinion, you can’t see it and you will put marks on it yourself from use, wait until it needs service and then have it corrected. I’m sure the price should reflect the case condition.
I would not rush to polish it. If it had a huge gash or dent I would definitely pass. These things can be fixed nowadays. Real world Patina. Cheers, |

Deal breaker? No, not if going to be a beater.
Deal maker… the condition means you should pay less for it. |

Not a deal breaker for me, It could happen to know one wearing it, hence there will be reduction in price too.

Wear a brand new gold watch for a short period of time and chances are you would end up with similar cosmetic wear.

As long as the price is commensurate to the condition I don’t think it matters. With laser welding skills these days everything can be made new
