Tudor Black Bay 54 is so nice

I was at the AD picking up my warranty repair for another watch and then tried on the 54 and was blown away. I don't usually like divers and turned down Submariner multiple occasions but I have to say I'm super tempted to add 54 to my collection.

The biggest pluses are the size (fits so well on my 16.75-17cm wrist) and the gilt dial (I prefer warmth of gold).

I can even overlook the snowflake hand because I don't like it normally on watches with round indices.

Of course that means I'll have one more watch that I will have hard time justifying...

Sorry for the lack of pictures because I was told I can't take pictures because they don't want anyone to know their available inventory, which I thought was weird.

Here are your photos! My wrist is slightly under 16.5cm for reference point. Don’t hesitate. It’s a fantastic watch.

Amazing photos!

I know it's amazing but I have so many watches already and was thinking about consolidation. And I already put my names on 2 Rolex and 1 Patek at the AD already...

Why is it so hard to stop collecting...

I get it, OP. I'm on the edge for this piece, too. If I didn't already have a BB58 blue, I would have folded by now.

I have a 6.25 in wrist, it's perfect.

It sounds strange they didn’t want you to take any photos especially when they are in the business of trying to sell what they have. Great looking watch for the money

Or green dial, but yeah white would be interesting.

The 54 is a great watch! I liked it on my 7.5"ish wrist.

Sold it because of another incoming. I was going to rebuy because of sales regret. But then the Tudor monochrome came along and it suited my wrist size better.

That said, about that Tudor hour hand. It's great! The reason for the snowflake or Mercedes hands were so you could easily see them at a glance even if they were behind the minute hand. 2 times last week I glanced at the time and there was that hour hand behind the minute hand, but there was no mistaking where it was. It works great... maybe better than the mercedes hand, imho.

I wouldn't hesitate on the BB54 purchase. Fantastic watch! (love the dial and lollypop)
Good Luck!

Good point on Tudor hand. I just wish they use square hour markers as well. But yeah it's good for non-chrono for clarity.

I do like the BB54 but I'm waiting for the YM37 so that I'm afraid they serve redundant purpose.

All these photos look great and made me want one... however, when I tried it on, it felt too small to me on my wrist. The BB 58 seems to be my sweet spot.

I appreciate that Tudor makes multiple versions of their watches to fit multiple wrist sizes. I wish Rolex would do more of this other than just the DD/DJ line and one or two others.

Totally get it! The fit and that gorgeous gilt dial are hard to resist. Maybe it’s time to rethink the collection, sometimes a piece just speaks to you!
