SA at Roswell said they are done, need to put your name on the waitlist at Buckhead which will still be an AD….

That's what the owners told me during a visit I made in Roswell a few months ago.
Was just serendipity because they were reviewing inventory in the cases at the Patek section.

They said Brown & Co are going to have a boutique build out in Buckhead Village.

Yes it’s just the Roswell location NOT the Buckhead location that’s not going to be an AD.

Basically if you don’t have the separate ‘boutique within a boutique’ model in your store Rolex is pulling your AD status. Some they give the option to ‘upgrade’ at a substantial cost which Rolex does subsidize and return some of the cost after x amount of time but many smaller mom and pop types either don’t have the money or don’t want to risk the money and willingly lose AD status.

It seems like more often than not, people are complaining about AD's snubbing buyers who aren't on a first name basis with the staff anyway. If they lose their status, they also lose this "back door" relationship with flippers, so I'm in the camp that believes maybe Rolex isn't to blame for the gray market charging 30% above MSRP. It wouldn't be in their language to prohibit overcharge if it weren't important to them, and concerned about brand image. Maybe the boutique plan is to have more control.

I know when I went to Chevy in 2020 to buy a 60k C8 Corvette, and they wanted 100K I walked out. This dealer lost me as a customer, it doesn't matter that they eventually sold it to someone else, it made me bitter towards Chevy and I still am!
I hope Rolex is fixing the problem, I don't want to pay more for a product than the maker says it's worth, it's just WRONG
Good riddance..

They want you to keep buying jewelry until the jig is up.

You would not buy a Daytona 126500 for 18K or a BLRO for 13K ?
I suppose below retail is OK

GMT-Master II

Oyster, 40 mm, Oystersteel

Reference 126710BLRO

..or you can pay double that on eBay.
\that system is broken. I guess I should be happy with only a 30% markup
