Green Pill vs Blue Pill....Skydweller comparison

Just received my Green Skydweller this weekend and seeing that there have been a few recently similar incomings I decided to do a comparison with my recently acquired Blue Skydweller as they are compared often with people having their personal favorites.

My personal take are they are both incredibly beautiful dials (you don't need me to tell you that) and anyone receiving either directly from an AD should feel incredibly happy....the AD I received this from mentioned he only gets 3 or 4 green skydwellers a year, a mix of oyster and jubilee.....

In terms of a preference, I would say the blue dial shades it for me as I just feel that dial has a deeper and richer all around look while the green dial in some lighting conditions can seem a touch washed out compared to the blue dial, although in most cases the mint green dial gives off a wonderful reflection.

Pics of delivery and comparison, will be interested in hearing on dial preference from others

Two beautiful watches you have there, congratulations.

I think the SS blue is special for how it all visually blends together, particularly on Jubilee. There's just something about the hue, depth and radiance of the dial. Not that the green is a poor runner up.

Choice is always good and when the choice is made you will end up with a Sky Dweller. Impossible to go wrong.

Beautiful pair.

For me, the green dial blends better with the fluted bezel and jubilee, the blue sticking out a bit more. In other words, the green is a more cohesive whole. I think the blue looks better on the oyster.

Can’t go wrong with either. :-)

Blue SS Jubilee - Is the one - (first release 32x is more special to me). However, this is a lovely piece also. As our resident Sky Dweller aficionado, Harry, says.. it really is impossible to go wrong.

I prefer the blue dial between them. The green dial looked a bit washed out to me when I saw it in person. Not that it wasn’t nice, just not for me

My favorite SkyD dial is the black

I like all the colors but the green is my least favorite. It seems somewhat washed out to me and I know it is suppose to be mint but that does not work as well for me. I have always acknowledged the blue dial SD as a hype watch that even I have fallen under the spell of. My favorite right now is the black dial, which under the right light looks somewhat grey. The white dial is nice and goes with everything. If I had to pick one it would be the black dial.

Wow, which one look smaller on the wrist?

One of the rare exceptions where I’d take a blue dial over a green dial.

Love both though.

I agree with this 100%.

All beautiful though and all a matter of personal preference.

That Rolex Blue dial just pops and works with anything you’ll wear. I have no clue what’s easier, green looks amazing but if owning one I’d go blue.

Congrats, on both ! I like the Blue because how rich the dial color is, but I love the green dial because it’s my color. Never seen them together in person to make a comparison.

Either one will do for me.

Cheers,

Thabks...

Thanks for the kind words, really happy with the green and blue combo but still will give plenty of wrist time to the white dial two tone as well which is one of my favorite references...still going with the initial feelings of slightly favoring the blue dial between the two...originally thought about a black dial two tone but went with the white....would contemplate a gently used black dial two tone 326 reference if the price was right.....

Congratulations, I think all of your SkyDwellers are beautiful! If I had the choice, I would probably go with the white steel gold one.

Huge congratulations on the Green Sky-Dweller, it’s always exciting to see a new arrival, especially with a piece as stunning as that! Having both the green and blue dials must be a treat, and I can see why they’re often compared. The blue dial definitely has that deeper, vibrant quality, while the green dial brings a unique, softer elegance with that reflective mint tone.

It’s great that your AD shared some insight on how limited the green dials are; that just adds to the excitement of having such a special piece. Looking forward to those pics and seeing others’ preferences on these two incredible dials. Enjoy both as each one is a masterpiece in its own right!
