I recently went to Japan and was looking for a No6 especially the Meteorite version. Impossible to find!! I paid a little over 6k and am very satisfied to have this in my collection as it’s a real statement piece.
Ended up getting this one on EBay and learned the best time to pick one up is right after the Lottery. I tried to join the lottery a correctly I couldn’t because you need a Japanese address and CC, so my buddy in Japan registered and we didn’t win in the last lottery. A little about the watch. The fit and finish is amazing and I love the details of the Bezel and dial, The small openwork window has the gear that's spinning is the Seconds hand. The double retrograde is amazing especially when you flip from midnight to a new day as both hands and the Date wheel jump. "Very Genta inspired". The design language is so FRESH compared to the norm that’s getting pumped out by the big boys. The only complaint I have is the strap, it’s way underwhelming and the pin buckle is low quality compared to the Case. |

It is certain that it is almost impossible to get a model with a meteorite dial, since only 10 of them were made, if I remember correctly. This is perhaps one of the rarest Otsuka models, as there were only a few limited editions of the No.6. You're right about the strap, I have replaced them with bracelets on both of my Otsukas. One got a Milanese one, the other a bit "Apple watch" type, I think they look much better that way. |

Jiro Katayama previously said that sooner or later the time will come for international shipping as well. Even though I was a bit disappointed with the Kai model, I am hoping that this model will be like that. Mostly because the MSRP of these watches is extremely reasonable.

highly doubt this will happen anytime soon. Folks in japan cannot even get these via lottery. Supply simply outweighs demand. If it wins the GPHG this month it will be even worse

Probably. But Jiro is currently making flippers to sell their watches as quickly as possible as the next raffle is coming very soon. It seems, the japanese fellows will wait for this, and do not purchases the watches on the market.
