Incoming Green OP 36mm.
As discussed in a previous ‘should I trade thread’, I took delivery of the OP nearly three weeks ago, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
There really is something special about the simplicity of this watch, it’s also a great for me as it feels like a Rolex I’ve never owned before, let me explain… All of my previous Rolex have been Professional models. My first was a 216570 Explorer II, second is a 124060 Submariner that I still own, third up was a 126710 BLNR GMT on Jubilee, and then I moved onto a 114270 Explorer. All wonderful watches, and all of the Professional persuasion, meaning big cases, handsets and indices (excluding the Exp). It’s a welcome change for me, with the baton hour markers and straight polished hands, it feels like I’ve moved onto another brand, but still have everything I love about the brand I’ve been fanboying over most of my life! I love the fact that this watch doesn’t take itself too seriously, the colour is a delight to behold, sometimes it’s almost black, other times the green can be mesmerising, especially under natural lighting conditions. The bracelet is buttery smooth and even the supposed basic clasp is incredibly functional. This may be an entry level Rolex which some will scoff at, but good watches for me are all about the overall package / character, and this thing punches FAR above its weight category in every sense, at least for me. For information, this is a 36mm watch on a 7.5 inch wrist (for all the 36mm watches belong on women folk). Have a great weekend everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
