Trade Advice

Would you consider trading a 6263 big red and AP 15202 + cash for a 5711r?

not so much a fan of the 5711r just for the fact that it has the older style clasp. go for the 5712r and then we're in business

I'm not sure a two for one is ever a good idea, especially with cash. Seems like you will be taking a huge loss.

I don’t think I would do that trade to be perfectly honest

I would not. You’re being taken for a ride and I would never go near that dealer again.

Wow, I seldom ever weigh in on possible trades. I don't know about current values, but in terms of personal taste, I would say this is the least desirable trade I have ever seen on here.

Share a pic of the 6263. Condition on that is everything.

The condition is excellent. I’m not actually working with a dealer but prices of the 6263 have come down quite a bit and the 5711r in excellent condition seems to be around 150-170. So I wanted to get a sense of what you all thought.

Do you all have other suggestions to add the 5711r?

If you are the first owner of the watch, I wouldn't trade it for anything less than 10 million USD.

If you bought it pre-owned, and have the full set, I wouldn't trade it for anything less than 2.5 million USD.

That is what I will do if I own the watch.

In short, I wouldn't trade it at all if I have one.

On a more serious note, the 6263 is a nice watch. A good condition 6263 is much rarer than a 5711/1R. I certainly hope to get a 6263 someday down the road....

I am not the original owner and it’s watch only. Purchased in 2017 from Michael Morgan.

Please, do not do that trade.

Hell, I'd even be sad to lose the 15202.

There can not be a winner on this scenario.

Damned if you do or don’t.

3 very desirable pieces.

I think I would stick w what u have.

I plan to at least wait until watches and wonders and see if anything comes out for the 50th anniversary of the nautilus. Maybe a yellow gold 5811?

Don't do it. I'm not a big Daytona fan, but this is not even a close call.

Thanks everyone. Giving me pause and not what I expected. Part of me wants to get out of a vintage piece and into something modern bec it’s hard to service the Daytona and nervous so much value is in the vintage pieces of the watch.

I may be alone in this but the idea of owning a pre Zenith Daytona has always left me cold.

Why not sell the Daytona and keep the 15202 assuming it is a later style blue dial with long hour markers?

Personally I am not interested in 5711/1R as I am not into brown dials. No way I'd give up my 5711 blue plus cash for 5711/1R. If anything I'd get a 3711/1G but for daily wear steel is just fine.

The 15202 is from July 2020 and hardly worn. I do love both my Daytona and 15202 but have always considered a nautilus as a grail and with secondary prices still high I have to trade to get the price down. I do love the brown dial but respect all the personal choices.

Dont trade. Sell and then buy. You will be leaving a lot of money on the table for the sake of convenience.
