Realistic wait time estimate for Green OP41?

Looking to pick this piece up at retail. For all my other Rolex I’ve always gone grey so having no purchase history will probably make things more difficult. What sort of time frame I looking at?
Secondly, what are your thoughts on this piece? I’m trying to diversify my collection a little

The other day my AD mentioned to me that they aren’t getting OPs lately. He further explained that the US market, in general, was not allocated many OPs. It took me a full year to get my silver OP 36, and it was my first purchase from my AD. The green would have been my second choice. It’s a great looking piece. Are you sure you need the 41? A lot of the guys chose the 36.

I’m not able to answer your question. I recently expressed interest and was put on the list at my local AD.

I got the itch and went grey for fear that there could be a discontinuation come April - of course, this is only speculation.

I can honestly say that I don’t regret going grey one bit. Before this I wouldn’t have thought I’d be a person to pay over retail for a piece.

I paid $7k after our insane 10.75% sales tax. Grey on moda a good used full set $8500. New $9000 to 9500. These green op41s are difficult to get . My wife was set on getting it. My main AD came thru for us. But I'll tell you this story. My secondary Rolex ADs SA had to buy his green OP41 from his friend who's gotten an allocation in another area. So this tell you how difficult to get them.

Yes 41 Green OP

About 3 weeks ago my AD called me and said they had a steel gold Deep Sea available. It was not on my list and I politely declined. A week later he stated that I could order the 41mm, Wimbledon with gold fluted bezel, slate gray, green roman numerals and jubilee bracelet, it will take about 3 months for it to come in. He also stated that if I wanted to order the 41mm Green OP, he could have it in within 6-9 months. I have been on the wait list for 3 years and not even one call. I just posted a thread about Gray Market Dealers ( you can read about my experience), I did not even know you could order a Rolex, I thought it was: Spend on other watches, Give them your wish/prayer list and wait and wait and wait. I only received the call after going gray

It took me 7 months this year to obtain the OP36 green.

I don’t recommend this watch. It’s an awful piece.

Often you can order a DJ, with a sizable deposit, though that ability comes and goes, depending on Rolex, USA’s current rules. As for being able to order an OP, that’s unusual. They are, and have always been, hard to get.
