Good Day from the UK

Hello All,

Very glad to be here, and despite knowing a little about Rolex (and owning one since 2014 - GMT Master II), I have a LOT to learn.

I want to add a second watch to my collection, ideally through an AD, but as I'd like either the SS Daytona or Sky-Dweller, I might have better luck trying to buy some rocking horse dung.

So, my latest crackpot scheme (I can retire in a few weeks so I'm allowed a bit of crackpottery) is to travel to the countries where I might have a better chance of buying these models from an AD, Eastern Europe, Japan. Would be a fun trip even if I end up empty handed. The other option is just to pay the premium to a reputable dealer in the UK for a recent model, but that's not quite as much fun.

Welcome to my world...

Charlie
